The poem’s creation year is not known, it was, probably, written in 1900s. This work, which has folk origins, remind the verse works of the "The boy and the Brook" series coming from natives and folk songs: «Տաղ ջրի վրայ է ասացեալ» (A song sung on the water), As. Mnatsakanyan, Armenian Medieval Folk Songs, Yerevan, 1956, pp. 152-153.
“WHERE do you run so rapidly?
Oh, pretty brook, you’re lovely,
Under that tree we can play happily.”
