Hovhannes Tumanyan's creative legacy holds an extremely important place in the history of centuries-old Armenian literature and all spiritual culture. In his artistic works, as well as in his literary-critical and publicist activities, Tumanyan is one of the largest, centralized figures of Armenian literature and public life of the late 19th and early 20th centuries around which all the healthy and progressive forces of native culture came together.
